The MassHealth program is embarking on a dramatic shift away from fee-for-service Medicaid to a reimbursement model that relies more on value and quality. The Baker Administration hopes to accomplish this through enrolling some MassHealth enrollees into accountable care organizations, or ACOs, and has chosen 17 ACOs across the state to implement the initiative. By first putting the concept of ACOs in the larger context of a shift away from volume-based reimbursement, this webinar will drill down on the manner in which the new ACO model will affect Massachusetts human services providers.
